Cavity Mill Mixed Cutting

What it does

Lets a Cavity Mill operation cut in mixed direction. NX offers climb and conventional in that dialog and leaves mixed unavailable; this makes that choice selectable, so one operation can cut both ways instead of being split into two.

Where to find it in NX

Nowhere new — there is no button. Open a Cavity Mill operation as you always do and the extra cut direction is there in the dialog. NX loads it by itself, so start NX after installing it.

Good to know

• Works with every NX version. Version 2.1.29 of NEXORA offers it for NX 12 only, which was a mistake; the next update offers it for every NX version again.
• Installing it writes into the Siemens NX folder, so Windows asks for administrator rights once.
• Close NX before installing or removing it: while NX is running it holds the file open.
